Vegas Hotel Information - UNLV Game

Has anybody booked their hotel yet...what is everybodies approach to booking rooms for this trip. As of now, havent really found anything at too good of a deal. This is staying on the strip.

Try a package trip through Allegient (SP) for air and staying in old downtown. You are farther from the stadium but you can get a room for like 25 a night. Then just take a cab to the game or get a rental car. Don't rent at the airport though you get charged an extra fee. There is an enterprize in the Fitz downtown. Cheaper rental there. Couple of years ago I got 4 night and air for 300. May not be that cheap now but it's prob not much more than that.

I'm kind of a big deal!

right now Allegiant is only taking reservations up til the end of August(6 months in advance). So maybe in a couple weeks we'll be able to get flight prices.

Prices are $79 each way in August, hopefully they are about the same in Sept. cause hotel prices are jacked up bigtime over the weekend.

Are they going to have a NCC charter or anything? That would be a lot of fun if they had a nice big group all going together.

When I go to Vegas, I usually stay at the south end of the strip. The luxor and the Excalibur usually have pretty decent rates. Pretty good table odds. The Monte Carlo caught on fire last month so you may be able to get some good rates. Don't really like their casino though. All the famous ones are expensive and I don't like their Casino's. The New Frontier is where I usually go but it's closed for renovations but might be open next August. It's pretty easy to get some compt. rooms there too.

I warn you. Do not stay at Circus, Circus. That place is scary.

looks like anything that is somewhat decent is at least $80-100 a night minimum. Id like to stay at Monte Carlo again. The brew pub is awesome , gotta love the giraffe.

A few more tips:

Be wary of the women at Mandalay Bay. But they do have a good sports book.

Sports book at Bally's is my favorite. March Madness there is probably the most fun I've ever had in my life. And I even lost a ton.

Also cant stand ESPNZone on NFL sundays. Its alright at other times. But way too many Raiders fans.

Any word on tickets? I assume it wouldn't be hard to get them at the stadium if you can't via ISU or am I wrong?

The New Frontier was imploded several months ago.
