This will be my first spring game I have attended since I went to school in the eighties. What should I expect? Is there tailgating or should I go to the bar before the game? I am finally to the point in my life where schedules and finances will afford me many Cyclone games(Vegas and a bowl included)
I had the joy of having some drunk chick puke on my shoes last year! I had a few choice words for her and her boyfriend.
This week's sign that you might have a drinking problem: getting so drunk tailgating for the SPRING GAME that you throw up on a complete stranger's shoes. Good Lord.
I tailgated last year.... it was a pretty fun time. Quite a few people out doing the same.
I do remember how there were no porta-potties to be found anywhere (so it seemed)!!! I waited in line at the Cy-Ride Hub for probably 40 minutes. I could not believe that ISU didn't set out any other portable restrooms for the tailgaters. Maybe I should shoot JP an e-mail as a reminder to have some out!!
I would skip the body paint. Gotta save that for when the games count!
Thats too bad. Hyvee on grand and railroad is clearing out all of their college merchandise and I just bought a bunch. If anyone is loking for hoodies they are $15 right now. Tshirts were $5 new logo.

You probably should do that. I haven't been to the spring game in around 3 years but that sounds like it would not be fun waiting that long.

Thanks for the heads up - I'm leaving work right now to go see what's left...

No way. Break out the paint. The spring game allows the coaches to evaluate their talent for the fall and determine what they need to focus on. Same with the body paint. Find out where you have room for improvement so next fall you 'bring your total game' when you paint up!
