Iowa Recruits

What does everyone think the odds are that we will sign any of the kids out of Iowa for next year. Guys like Davis, Wegher, Barrent are getting a lot of national attention. I would be a shame to see these guys to go out of state or even to Iowa for that matter.

I wouldn't mind if they went to Iowa...as long as we signed someone better at each of their positions.

Seriously. In all likelihood, it depends on who has the better season--though I doubt that Davis will be swayed either way.

Class of 2010--get Dan Hochs brother if he has a junior season like his sophomore season. Wegher is a gamble IMO., maybe Tim Dwight type player. 5' 11" 190 is a questionable size in the Big 12. What do you all think?

Wegher and Davis have both been to Iowa spring practices, and have been to Iowa City on multiple occasion.

No way we get Davis, and Wegher is extremely unlikely. I'm honestly not concerned about that position though, I think we have plenty of good guys and prospects on the radar.

It looks like ISU is more set on WR than Iowa is. I bet ISU goes for some big defensive linemen. Of course, I'm not very knowledgeable on ISU recruits, so I could be wrong.

We have a better shot at Wegher that Iowa does only because someone stated that he likes ISU's coaching staff better than Ferentz and co.

But it sounds like all of them are getting attention from suitors bigger than ISU and Iowa.

That probably helps ISU's chances. Did they have a chance to be with the team when they got booed off their own field on Senior Day and perhaps accompany some of the players on a typical night of drinking, stealing, and getting arrested?

Wegher was offered by Penn State so his size must not be that much of a problem...

Just a gut feeling, Wegher wants to go "big time" which means leaving the state. Davis will either go to Iowa or out of state.

I really hope Sed Johnson and Bo Williams are hosting most of these player :)

Wegher just went to Auburn and his Mom went to school at Iowa. Davis is either going to Iowa or out of state.

Conor Boffeli should comes to ISU and we have a shot at Barrent too. Barrent is from valley but he also is wearing an Iowa jersey in his profile picture. Boffeli has a lot of connections to ISU.
