Sorry for the confusion.
I've been a season ticket holder since 1975. 6 games @ $6 for $36, next year it was 5 games at $7 for $35. I was giving $100 to the NCC since 1975; in 1999 I started giving $250 and was happy to do so. I love the cyclones.
My point IS JP said in 2006 you have to give $250 to stay in section 12, now in 2008 he says you have to give $500. (this is 2 years later?) I know the people around me better than he does, THEY WILL NOT GIVE $500, they may still give $250 and move over, good for them, that is great, I am prould of them.
YES THERE IS CHEAP TICKETS, it gets us nothing.
HERE IS MY POINT: Jamie does NOT know his customer base. Don't go after the 12,000 present day season ticket holders. Go after the 70,000 NON GIVERS.
I backed Jamie on the NO single games tickets for Iowa, and NEBRASKA, good move. make people buy season tickets.
IN MY OPINION, he screwed the pooch thinking everyone would double their donation again 2 years later! It won't happen.
DON't tell me he has to ask, have some commen sense!
He never asked, he dictated.
There isn't 1,000s of fans knocking at the door for 10 yard line seats!!!
Give me a break! Section 12 is on the 10 yard line.
Jamie went after the wrong fans IN MY OPINION!
I will say it again, my seats will be empty other than the nebraska game, which will have been sold to a nebraska fan as a season ticket (WITH NO CONTRIBUTION THE NCC).
Is this good? why kick the loyal fan to the curb?
Most of you will never understand.

I disagree and feel people will still pay more for those seats.
Sorry for your loss. Hopefully you don't regret you decision come August.

Still a bit confused. You were getting game tickets for $6 per ticket or $36 for a season, but in order to do that you had to donate $250 last year and $500 this year?

Theoretically we should have more and more people become interested in Cyclone sports. Considering it is a unversity and every year they add to their student body and their alumni. Also with an ISU degree you aren't gonna be working at Wal-Mart (actually managers make a TON of money) so yes I do believe that many people will double their donations.

Ummm not to pick nits, but you knew this was coming for the past 2 years, so why is this a huge issue now?
I guess I am ok with this, I sit in a non donor section and donate at the cardinal level. I have been repeatedly denied seating upgrades because I was told there were no seats, so if people that give less to ISU have to move out, so I can move up, then I am all for it. Money rules the world, and that is not going to change.

Most of you will never understand. No, the problem is you're sitting in 500 dollar seats. And everyone around you is too. There are lots of folks in 250 dollar seats paying 500 dollars. This is an attempt to fix that.
How do you go after 70k people and say "please donate 500 dollars so you can sit in 250 dollar seats?"
It's not like they're being taken away from you. You're just being asked to pay market value for them now.
Paying the 250 dollars gets you 250 dollar seats. Plain and simple.

We will see this fall whether the limits have been reached or not. Ten years ago I couldn't afford the donation or tickets then I bought the $99 tickets and now am moving up with a $500 donation and tickets. I hope there are many like me. | | |

I will agree that it appears that JP is jacking donation requirements a bit too quickly. What would be wrong with increasing the minimum donation to, say, $350 from $250 for now? Doubling the minimum donation again just two years later seems a bit extreme after a meager 7 wins within those two seasons.
I don't think I'd ever donate $500, plus the ticket costs, to sit at the 10 yard line. I'm glad other people have that kind of money to throw around.

Most of you will never understand. Hey just for you since you are a loyal fan since.... well before I was born, lets just never mind inflation, or anything like that. You can have your seats afterall for only $6 a game like they were in 1975.
Remember Iowa fans went through this a couple years ago and they still have fans wanting tickets.
Times have changed and we need to up the ante. Sorry about your lose.....
OHHHHH and I highly doubt some Nebraska fan is going to buy your season ticket without paying a donation. Your seats require a donation, so guess what. Someone is going to be paying a donation for those seats.
