Re: 2008 Football Recruiting

We've had high school players who played against Gamblin post on this board, and say he was a man among boys. Far and away the best on both offense and defense. His videos show a guy that tackles, players don't get away. He may not have the sheer foot speed, but the intangibles of making the tackle can make up for that some. He's a player from the state of Iowa who really WANTS to play for Iowa State. I like that.

100% agree......

The other thing about Gamblin and this is only from what i've read on here or heard from others in his area, but, he seems like a pretty genuine kid....I think he knows he stunk up KC Combine with that 5.06 and half the OL running faster....

But look at the guys photos, he looks to be put together.....So if he was 6-1, 220 and ran a 4.55 do you think he would have had some serious offers????

If the guy makes plays and is willing to walk on and put in the work, i see him contending for PT.....But, he has to work at it, Shep will turn those HS muscles into Big 12 muscles and evolve that frame into a torpedo....my prediction....
