3-9 worst case scenario, 7-5 best case scenario?
While I know we still aren't going to be world stoppers, but 3-9 would be a complete disaster IMO. Not being able to win 4 games with our "easy" schedule would slow down any fan momentum that we still have. I think 4 is the bare minimum that we win this year. We beat two Big 12 teams last year and should be able to win at least that many again this year. We should be able to beat AT LEAST 2 non-conference opponents. That's 4 wins right there. Any less than that is underachieving.
Winning 5+ gets more complicated, but I think best case scenario should be 8-4 instead of 7-5. Best case scenario would mean winning 4 non-conference games and 4 conference games. It would be tough, but not playing Texas and Oklahoma is a huge plus.

They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it… let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

What a homer article for Nebraska.

Nebraska - Best case 10-2 ( are you kidding me?), worst case 5-7
No way in hell does NU win 10 games this year. Do they forget they have a new coach? I know Coach Callahan wasn't fit for NU, but they think Pelini can come in and fix a train wreck overnight? I see Nebraska pretty similar to us in terms of final records. 5-7 and 8-4 as ranges for a record.

" At Iowa State and home against Baylor will be relative breathers"
They haven't played very well vs. ISU in Ames the last three times. Add in a new coach and I wouldn't call it a breather. | | |

Well, at least we weren't an "Almost certain win" for anyone and don't have any "Likely losses".......
I'm not sure what to expect this year.

Nebraska will struggle to win 6 games IMO. Their defense couldn't stop anybody and Bo is a rookie head coach, not a miracle worker. I could easily see them losing to:
Va Tech, Missouri, @ Texas Tech, @ Iowa State, @OU, Kansas, @Kansas State, and Colorado. Out of those 8 games they will be lucky to win 3.

The one thing I think they are dead on is their overall record prediction for us.
3-9 would be bad.
4-8 likely
5-7 would be great
6-6 or 7-5 would be unreal.

3-9 would be bad
4-8 would be tolerable (assuming effort displayed at all times and improvement throughout the year)
5-7 would be likely
6-6 would be great
7-5 or better would be unreal.

I'll be happy with 5 wins next fall. I'll accept 4, and be ecstatic with 6 or more.

I'm with ajk4s8, I think it's pretty right on for us.

After watching the replay of the ISU/NU game on Mediacom....we had our chances to beat them!
I am going 8-4. All non conference games plus AtM, Baylor, Kansas State and Colorado.
