How many B12 North championships would we have if someone could have made 30 yard FG's?

Per Coach Boulware at the clinic last Friday evening, both of our recruited players have a stronger leg than Shaggy. But they're still just going to be freshmen.

That will teach him... soccer...

Give me someone that makes 100% inside 30 and 0% beyond as opposed to what we have had for the past several years and I will take it. At least you arent taking a total crapshoot every dang time.

Except even in the NFL your not going to see that ratio, people will flat out miss from within 30 yards, going to have to deal with it.

I realize this. I also don't really think that anyone who was 100% from inside 30 would be completely unable to make one from beyond. I was illustrating a point.

Both kickers have been to the last 2 Saturday practices and have been kicking off the ground. Let's just say our kicking game will be better. They still have a ways to go but they have talent that we have not had in a while

Re: Here's the kicker...

Im not going to mention any names yet, but there is a kid trying to walk on right now as kicker for ISU. He played two years at Kansas, he redshirted and sat on the sidelines his frosh year. He left and sat out last year. He already knows how to kick off the ground and can boot the ball on kickoffs.

I'm sure a little research can come up with the name. Too bad I'm lazy.

If he's already here, he'd be practicing right now.

Re: Here's the kicker...

I can't believe there isn't a SINGLE student on campus who used to be a soccer player or kicker in HS who could walk-on? Wouldn't a guy at least want to TRY and see what they can do kicking FG's? I mean just think if they find their niche, they would get a free education possibly.
