ISU FB discussion on 1620 ESPN in the Big O!

For those of you in Omaha and Western Iowa, 1620 is going to have an Iowa State spring practice report - up next after the break.

KOZN - Homepage

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Well considering we won 3 last year, they aren't far off.

do they realize just how easy our schedule is. Its not like we are playing Texas and oklahoma or Texas tech. We have Baylor win. Oklahoma state win. Texas a&m either way.

Thank you for beating Iowa

WOW... maybe Im just tired from the end of the day and you were being sarcastic.

I think we lose all three of those games, and Im normally very optimistic.

We better take care of the likes of Kent State or SDSU before our boys walk into Stillwater and get a win like it's nothin'.

I'm sure a lot of it is on who we didn't beat last year moreso than who we play this year. Look at our non-conferences losses, the loss of key players as some skill positions and you have to realize that number isn't far off. I think we finished the season stronger than it looked over all, but, we can only hope and wait and see.

OSU might be the best team in the Big 12 South next year...

Someone's awfully confident... calling two conference road wins, one against a team coming off a bowl win?

I think what he is trying to say is that our schedule is easier and with a 2nd year coach with a much improved team. 6-7 wins would be a good goal.

I think there is an automatic brain twitch for some ISU fans that instantly think W when they see the baylors and okie states of the world on the schedule, b/c they are baylor or okie state, and not the sooners, longhorns, or red raiders. I used to be the same way sort of, but nothing is a given with ISU football, ever.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

I still haven't seen any sign of OSU having a decent defense, and they lose Bowman. I agree, it decidedly easier that a trip to Austin, Norman or Lubbock.

No reason not to realize that a win is a possibilty.
