We take my parents and have a 6 mo. old who is going to be exposed early! I think Dad has always wanted to go and I wasn't that interested until after I got out of school, so when we were able to make it happen, we started going - great family time over the last 6 seasons! I do have a hard time believing that with the giving level adjustment that most in our section stayed put, especially considering that we were doubling the requirement last year... In any event, we're set for this year and will try to move up every season :)
In section 5, it looks like row 11 is about as close as you can get. Like in my section, N, the 1st 10 rows are reserved for faculty. We are in row 11 of N.
Ive sat 1st row right on the sidelines before, and they were horrible, but 11th row might not be too bad.
We upped to Cardinal level to stay around the same section. Dont know if we are moving to M, down to 21 or staying N. I wouldnt mind going down to 21, but dont want to be stuck on in the 1st couple rows. Right now were on about the 43 yard line.

I'm hoping they're good, but anticipate that seeing action in the south 20 yds. or so might be tough. We've been at the top of the section, under the upper deck for the last five years (in section 3 until last year, when requested a move in anticipation of the construction...) It's funny how 3-4 days allow me to calm down and accept the assignment
Oh, and we're Cardinal, and have been since the year that parking was not guaranteed w/o going to that level (2006, I think.) So last year, we were in 250 seats, but they were perfect! Under the upper deck (no sun, rain, etc.) and right next to the wide stairs (one or two rows up) - I guess that's why they put the suites there!
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
My neighbor got his new seats on friday, he is cardinal, so they are hitting that section now. I guess I should expect a call this week sometime.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Brianhos makes it sound as if they will call on the telephone - or will it be a letter?
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
It should be a letter. That's all I received last year.

I always have gotten a call on the phone when requesting a new seat.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
It depends what you ask for
Brian,
Are your seats being moved because of the construction? If so, you will probably be this week. If not, then it will be a while. They have not even gotten through Director or Victory level who are requesting changes.
They are going through those moved due to construction losing seats, then by membership level. They have really not even gotten to the the second or third top level yet.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
My neighbor is in cardinal, and got moved for construction, he got his new seats on friday. I am requesting additional seats, so I know I will have to move.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Understand.
What I am saying is as they promised a year ago, the first ones being re-seated, in donation level descending order, are those moved due to the construction.
Then, I believe they are starting over at Director, Victory, Captains on downward for those who are requesting seating changes or increase/decreased seating.
I know some Victory and Captains level donors who have not been contacted yet who requested changes and were told it would be a week or two before they got to their level.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Before last year, we'd been in section 12 for several years, under the overhang with 4 seats starting on the south aisle. Loved the people around us and were great fans of being under a roof during rain and sun (those 11:30 a.m. starts!)
We tried to be proactive knowing our seats would be gone in a couple years, so went in and talked with Jared and made a detailed seating request change as he suggested. We were moved to seats in section 11 within the rows and seats we asked for, with notification coming in a letter. This year we asked for 4 seats starting on the aisle or just to stay where we are.
Two years ago we also upped to Gold, hoping a combination of our actions would help us get and stay where we want. We've never gotten a phone call about moving, to my knowledge.
And by the way, we still haven't gotten our stimulus money --DD was supposed to be "no later than May 9."
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Ayone have any idea how season ticket sales are coming along? Inquiring minds want to know!!
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
I was displaced by construction so I assume I should find out soon what my new seat location is - can't wait for football season!
I also have not got my stimulus (whatever?!) money yet either.
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
I'm Captains Club and haven't gotten a call yet, anxiously awaiting to move up from Section 12, (not that Section 12 is bad)
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Question, in the upper deck, do the rails interfere with the view if you sit in the third or fourth row? Appreicate the help
Re: Anyone got their New Seat Assignment?
Nope. Row 1, maybe; row 2, not for an adult; row 3, just fine.
