Sweet Stadium 3D Rendering

This is totally worth checking out - found it online earlier today. Nicely built and compiled fly-through of the new stadium.

If we ever bowl in the south endzone it will look sweet!

I would be all for getting rid of the red and yellow seating and go just to red.

thats awesome!
I can't wait until the south endzone is bowled in, it makes the whole stadium look a lot better.

Re: Sweet Stadium 3D Rendering

Have the ever announced if this is still in the near future.. or are we still 5-6 years out?

I know the goal was to start on it after next season, but my guess is we have not ponied up enough money yet.

Anyone know for SURE? Not what they heard a long time ago or what the original plan was

THAT right there is why people need to stop the negative talk about ticket prices and such. If we want to have a sweet *** stadium, we need to give throw some sugar on it (aka money.) Any donation can help Iowa State get this done as quickly as possible. Sweet 3-D stuff. I will LOVE the day Iowa State has a horseshoe at Jack Trice Stadium.

Yeah, that is my video and model. And yes, I probably did waste a little too much time on sketchup, but it's kind of addicting. I just thought it would be cool to have something for people to look at and say "wow Jack Trice could be pretty nice" or stuff like that.

Re: Sweet Stadium 3D Rendering

i hope they re paint the seats.. that i think alone would make it ten times better..after the games.. or durin no games.. since it wont matter during them

(also quick ?.. can we make the smiley be on the quick replys too? or are they already and im just that dumb)

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

totally with ya on the sketchup. I did a 3d of our office about a month ago along with one of our retail subdivisions. Pretty fascinating software.

What if, rather than alternating cardinal and gold sections, the east side was cardinal and the west side was gold (or vice versa)?

Re: Sweet Stadium 3D Rendering

ohhh man, that is sooo sweet! everyone get a 2nd job right now, start collecting cans in the ditches, sell your baseball cards, sell your kids (just kidding!) do whatever and donate to the NCC ... let's get that thing built! Although a double decker on the south side would look cool, I think the way it looks in this video is what we should realistically expect regarding attendance etc.. just the lower bowl alone on the south side gives it a much more big-time appearance. Hey, I'm not trying to poo on a 2nd deck in the bowl, I just forsee a lot of empty seats up there when EIU or kNU aren't in town... but hey, I dream of the day when ISU football is so strong that we'd need a 3rd deck on the east side to put fannies, but that's probably not going to happen in our lifetimes. Just getting the lower bowl now would make me giddy.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
