CF Spring Game Tailgate???

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I don't know about everyone else.. but i am tailgating as it will be my only tailgate of the year (i think anyway depending on my 2week leave) So im going to bring a cooler with pop.. but since i cant find my small grill i wont be able to bring food really.. but i will bring a bag of bbq chips too..
i will bring a football, and i have one ladder for ladder golf that i got at the strawbetty patch when it was on sale..

im also going to be there pretty early as im going to try to get autographs before hand.. but im going to try to be one of the first people to get that done..

soooooooooo who all is in?

also im tryin to figure out what lot we want to be in... im thinking we should be closer this year to JTS then last year...

so post ideas and if u are coming and or bringing things

Thanks

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

We'll be at the game but almost certainly won't be able to make the tailgate.

*sigh* I'm going to have to settle for chilling/grilling out on the beach while drinking beer and having Superfan fill me in later...

Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!

I'd love to go but I'll be coaching kids' sports. Will it be broadcast again this year on the Cyclone network?

There may or may not be something formal. This could work - if everyone wants to, we could just pick a lot and a time. Maybe the lots over south of Hilton? B9 is a good sounding number - is that a lot?

Re: CF Spring Game Tailgate???

Either way is fine with me. I'm planning on bringing out the mini-grill and my tailgating skillet with food to spare. Thinking a couple dozen eggs, couplea pounds of bacon, sausage, hash browns, pair of six-packs (Shiner and Guinness) and the old Bucket 'o' Gin. Suggestions are also welcome.

I'd be happy to share extra food (and some bucket) with anybody who stops by. I'm pretty easy to find. Little silver Honda Civic with Wisconsin plates and a NASA meatball on the back window, blaring the ISUCF"V"MB CD's.

Still debating. Last spring game...one last shot in all the gear or just going dressed like a human being...

Dumb question but being a spring game virgin, where does one park? I assume it's pretty open but just want to know before I get there...

Not a dumb question at all - you can park pretty much anywhere. I usually park over by Hilton - usually they don't open up all of the lots.

Re: CF Spring Game Tailgate???

Anybody know if the whole stadium is going to be open, or just the east side due to construction on the west? I haven't been to a spring game in a few years, but I seem to remember only one side being open anyways. I could be wrong though.

Oh... people will come Mr. Pollard. People will most definitely come.

No, I don't live in Seattle anymore, I'm back in Des Moines but I don't feel like changing my username.

I believe only the East Side will be open. It's probably quite the liability to open up the west side with all of the construction equipment there, and I think some of the stairs have been demolished into rubble where seats once were that are currently being replaced by suites.

They've only opened the east side the past several years, construction notwithstanding...

So there's confirmation - only the East Side (and Gate 1) will be open.

We probably should pick a lot...any suggestions?
