Football Season Tickets Split

I have neither the time or money to attend all of the ISU home games. I am looking for someone that wants to split a season ticket package and a NCC membership. We would each pick 3 games a year and alternate who picks first. If anyone is interested please let me know. I think there may be a lot of people in this situation and hope this thread can be useful in packing JT in the fall.

We would alternate the Iowa game so each person would get it every once every four years too!

Reps for you for getting creative rather than griping about your situation!

I'm sure you'll find takers.

That is what we are going to do with Basketball tickets next year.

Yeah, I would not mind doing that with bball tickets. There is no way I can go to all the games, but half of them might be doable.

How many seats were you thinking? We travel too much in the fall for it to be worth it to get a full season of tickets, too. We'd definitely be interested, if you're just looking at two.

Re: Football Season Tickets Split

Maybe we need another set of lines in the forem index to negotiate split football and basketball tickets. I can see where this would be beneficial to a lot of us, and could be a great service to all.

Re: Football Season Tickets Split

I currently split 2 season tix with my Dad. He lives in WDM and doesn't make it to all the games, and I live in CA, so I usually only make it back for a game or two.

Does anyone know (or has accomplished) a way to get multiple names "attached" to season ticket account?

I'm sure that a call to the ticket office might be able to answer this, but I thought I'd ask while I was reading this thread.

Re: Football Season Tickets Split

The only way to have multiple names on an account is if they are in the same immediate family (i.e. you, your wife, etc.).

The athletic office will not support multiple names because they want as many individual donors as possible. Bottom line is you either need to join the NCC yourself and buy tickets yourself to split with others (but it will all be in your name) or someone else needs to do it on your behalf and you just cut them a check.

Problem is if it isn't in your name to begin with and you decide to go in full bore at some point, you are essentially starting from scratch with priority points and seating.

Glad to see you are giving a true effort to joining the NCC and getting into JT this year. I am doing the 'split' with a coworker for men's bball this coming season and it should work perfectly for us.

Thanks for the info. I'll call them and see what they say.

I was afraid of that. That was the biggest reason behind my wanting to get my name added.

Re: Football Season Tickets Split

What if both donate and only one buys the tickets. There are different levels right? Just spitballing here but then both would earn at least a little cred maybe.

I'm kind of a big deal!

The first person would get credit for their donation amount and ticket purchase, the second would only get credit for their donation amount.

This would be a pretty worthless setup, BTW. If there are two of you that are donating and splitting tickets, you might as well just donate at the same level, buy your own tickets and request to be seated together. If you wanted better tickets, it would make more sense to pool your donations into one NCC membership and bump up a level rather than have two lesser donations.

If someone wants to get me an estimate cost on the split, I will check with the boss, I mean wife, to see if I have "permission". I feel like such a well trained husband.

I would even be interested in splitting a Cy Pack. We just had a baby and have a 4 year old also in daycare, so finances are pretty tight right now.
