They keep score but Chizik uses a different scoring system for these things. You get extra points for explosive plays, which are runs over 12 yards and pass plays over 16? Something like that, I'm sure someone knows. I'm surprised Cyclones.com doesn't have more info but they don't. :(

As I understand it, it will be a controlled scrimmage of approx. 75-100 plays. Scores for O = 1st downs, td's, plays over 12 yds, etc. Scoring for D = sacks, tackles for losses, 3 and outs, picks, etc. Scoring will be kept and reported in the media and at the scrimmage.

"It's going to be offense vs. defense. We have a scoring system we always build in and it's already in play, we've been using it all spring. It will probably be around 75-100 plays with some special teams mixed in."
