Re: Minor Detail...

How about white shoes for the first few games to keep the players' feet cooler. Then when it starts getting cold, move to the black shoes to keep them warmer.

I think we should wear green shoes to blend in with the grass.

What about green shoes to match the field?

Opposing players wouldn't be able to see which way our feet were pointed. Game. Set. Match.

Re: Minor Detail...

First of all, if a defender is worried about what colored shoes the opposing team is wearing then he doesn't have his head in the game. I can't remember ever looking at opposing teams shoe color and if I did, I didn't think they were good or bad depending on the color. I don't care what color of shoes the team wears as long as they all have them on. Nothing is worse than seeing 10 different color paired of shoes on a football team.

I don't think I could ever see a defender chasing down a RB and being like oh crap he's got white shoes on, I better take a bigger angle to cut him off...doesn't happen.

Or maybe the invisibility stuff the army is working on. Would have to freak the other team out to see our guys running with no feet.

I can think of two good reasons to wear black shoes; they look better and EIU wears white.

Don't let the green grass fool you. Don't let it change your mind.

Everybody knows you play better in white shoes. Just ask Reno Hightower.

Re: Minor Detail...

I know, I just enjoy hearing the name Hightower. Reminds me of the PA series.

Maybe most of the team should wear white shoes. The players who played the best the week before could then wear black shoes the next week as an "award."

Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid all together.

Re: Minor Detail...

Maybe everyone should go barefoot, and shoes could be awarded to the top performers each week.

Better yet, the team only gets say 11 pairs of shoes for the team and then they have to decide who plays barefoot, they could even swap shoes during the game...
