From the outset, I stated that ISU had not had single game tickets available for the Iowa-ISU game since 2001. So your argument on this front, as it was then, is moot.
The discussion, as it related to my show last year, had to do with ISU charging $90 per ticket for the 4,000 allotted tickets.

Then apparently it was a fair price, otherwise they would not have sold. Simple economics....the market sets the price.
So, either Barta does not believe that the ISU/Iowa game at Kinnick will be in as high of demand as the game at JTS, or he's intentionally missing out on $100,000 in profit on sales of the tickets. But I suppose that lost profit can be made up by the payout from the Big 10 Network that is preventing at least half of the Iowa "fans" from seeing their team play. -

Re: IA/ISU Single Game FB Tickets Available
I like the fact that Iowa does not look as ISU as a rival but the prices for ISU vs. Iowa tickets are higher then the conference games and the same as the Wisconsin game. Their words say one thing, their actions say another.

Re: IA/ISU Single Game FB Tickets Available
There is nothing wrong with using economics to sell football tickets. If 45,000 would pay $1000 bucks for season tickets at ISU. Thats what the price should be. If you can't afford it, so be it.

Their words say one thing, their actions say another. You have to remember: A rival is a team that you can beat. At this point, you could say that we're a big-time school that boosts their OOC schedule, and standsa as a big revenue-maker. -

Just thought I'd throw that out there When only talking about football, I would have to agree. A rivalry didn't really exist during the 15 game stretch.
I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.
