The article also gave an update on Parker and C. Brown.

Bates looked fantastic in the SG. He looked VERY fast during his spring outs.

I think I have "officially" jumped on the Phillip Bates bandwagon. I hope he wins the starting job and doesn't look back. To me, he brings that spark that we haven't seen since Seneca was here and that is somthing that I get excited just thinking about. Now, if Arnaud ends up taking the job then I will also be happy, because in my mind Arnaud is a lot like Rosenfels. Better then average feet, strong accurate arm and hopefully a good leader. I am very excited for these 2 young men and for the future of the ISU QB position.

The tribune has better sports writers than the register. That is sad.

I am not sure who i am pulling for yet...kinda want to be up on South Dakota State by 50 so we can see a lot of both of them...I can't pick one to pull for just because of the spring game...

You don't have to root "for" one of them, just hope that the competition causes them both to elevate the level of their play for the next 3 years. They're both Cyclones, it seems silly to root for one over the other.

I thought bates would start from the beginning and arnaud played like poop in the spring game. (I understand that doesn't really mean anything) bates looked more consistent this spring. I'm going with phillip bates start

Yeah, I see no reason for him not to redshirt.
