One reason some guys fail to run crisp, clean routes is that they don't believe in their own speed. Or, they flat out don't have the speed to get them where they need to be without cutting routes off or running them sloppy. Not sure if this is true with Blythe, but speed has to be a major reason for him not to be drafted. Something like downfield blocking can be fixed...

I didn't know the AFL 2 had a team called the Saints.

Re: Blythe signs with Saints

IF Blythe gets coached up on his Route running his speed (or lack there of) will not factor as much of a hinderance to his game. Cris Carter was lucky if he ran a 4.6 yet he was one of the NFLs best in the 90's. Blythe has size going for him and he has a knack going for jump balls in traffic. I have a feeling that he will make the Saints roster. While the Saints have a lot of WRs on thier roster only Colston and Meachem (potential bust) are close or bigger in size. The rest appear to be the journeyman types that he could have a shot at beating out.

Are you talking about Jerry Rice? Maybe Rice was "knocked" for his speed late in his career but he is remembered as having tremendous game speed and breakaway speed...especially in his younger days. That is why he was a high first round pick out of Mississippi Valley State.

Not to mention, Rice had unbelievable hands...partly due to the fact that he helped his father at work when he was growing up (his father was a brick layer and he would throw bricks up to young Jerry on scaffolding two at a time where he would catch them and stack them for his father to use).

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Re: Blythe signs with Saints

You can believe what you want I guess, but Bowen will be playing on special teams for the Bills I am sure, and Tuba will likely see some time as a backup.

have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.

So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough?

You're right, we have NEVER had ANYONE from ISU play on Sundays.

I think you're wrong. I think AR will be the 2 deep for the Browns. They have no other NT listed on the 2 deep.

I suspect Ace has a better than 75% chance to start on special teams for the Bills.

Why do you think otherwise?

Sooooooo... either I missed something or this question is bound to be on lot of people's minds...

Has there been any evidence other than a Facebook status to confirm this story? Heck I'd take a wall post or a note at this point...

Your wrong on this. Rice ran a 4.7 coming out of college. He may have played faster than that which a lot of guys do, but it was a big knock on him coming out of college. Of course it didn't stop him from getting drafted in the first round
