The music they stretch to goes on for WAY too long. I swear the same things plays from 60 minutes before kickoff to 20 minutes before kickoff.

I know they listen to the instrumental of "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor for a while, and the video played the same song with the words.

Re: Gameday music question

I'm giving up my age... when I was at ISU and lived in the student apartments north of campus. We tailgated at home and then walked to the game. As we crossed campus and approached the stadium, we could hear the drum corps playing - and the sound of the crowd rising. Now that got my adrenaline going. I enjoy the pregame music played today, but nothing will replace the anticipation of the game like the rising sound of the drums and the crowd. Plus, the sprint to the general admission seating for students. Anyway, when I hear those drums it takes me back and gets me juiced. Fort Minor, the Chili Peppers, 3 Doors Down - it's just not the same.

This is correct. I couldn't think of the name of it earlier.

If you are inside when the players stretch, you are missing way too much quality tailgating time

My goal is to be sitting down just as the Iowa State University Cyclone Football (Varsity) Marching Band breaks out with Fanfare

I prefer to be in the stadium shortly after the gates open to watch warm ups. I don't drink alcohol though so that may have something to do with it.

I have the instrumental of work it out if anybody wants it.

The instrumental was actually "2 Step"...I thought it was "Walk It Out" at the beginning of the year but it was actually "2 Step."

Really? I guess I will need to hear that because walk it out sounds exactly like what was playing.

If you have iTunes, go to the iTunes Store and type in "2 Step Instrumental" and that's what it was.

Re: Gameday music question

You know, they would play part of 'O Fortuna' from Carmina Burana towards the end of a video before the team entered through the tunnel, and I've always wondered if they used the recording of the ISU Choirs and Orchestra performing that last year at the Masterworks Concert...
