All of you saying that he has no chance to make the roster are probably correct, but he could very well make a practice squad. Even if it's not with Washington.

All you can ask for coming out of college football is the opportunity to prove yourself in the NFL. Not many quarterbacks even get that opportunity, so congratulations to Brett! |

The only thing I'll say about Bret is I don't think there was a single person out there that realistically thought that Tom Brady was even going to make the Patriots roster, much less turn into the player that he's become. Now, for every Tom Brady story out there there's hundreds of unheard players that get drafted late or not at all and don't make the team's roster, but I'm just saying...
Good luck Bret. You'll probably need it, but I'll be rooting for you...

The flaw that I have seen of Brett is locking into a receiver. Rumors blaming Barney Cotton could be true, but he never could shake that habit and defenses could read it very well.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I just don't see it. He regressed A LOT from his freshman year to his senior year. I won't lay all of it on him with the line play and coaching changes. However, QB's that are really good in college struggle to make it in the Pro's let alone average QB's.
I wish him the best, I thank him for what he did at ISU, congratulations on being given the NFL opportunity and I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.

Oerhaps the Redskins weere perceptive enough to recognize that they have a far better offensive line and receivers, let alone running game, to work with than Brett ever had at ISU.
Give the poor guy a break. He got pounded into the turf enough on the field.

Thought I was done seeing ISU players when I moved to Maryland. Grant you I still don't think I'll see him play, but if I happen to see him play sometime I won't complain. Good luck to him
(heh heh maybe he'll get famous and that autographed ISU poster I picked up at VEISHEA last year will be worth something Come to think of it... I think Alvin Bowen was the other signer of that poster... sweet...) 4th quarter, second pre-season game you may see him.

making correct check offs Yep. Basically you are saying he needs to be a much better QB in pretty much all facets to stand a chance of making the NFL. I agree.
