No doubt. The coaching staffs clock management was one of the main reasons the Oklahoma game was as close as it was.
Mizzou game, too.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
What killed us against Nebraska and especially Oklahoma was poor execution in the red zone. We ran over 100 plays at Nebraska but only had 17 points. 1-for-4 in the red zone against Oklahoma... that one haunted me for awhile. We could have put Stoops in a box and mailed him to Iran after that first half, but couldn't follow through.
Near misses and what-ifs. Thou art a cruel mistress.
I think this article brings up a valid point of this season. The defense was ranked 7th in the Big 12 (not bad) but was also constantly on the field because of the horrible offense. If our O can move the ball, esp. on the ground, our defense should be at least as good as last season and we will have a chance at the end of most of our games. Which for year two would be about where I think everyone wants us to be.
with our best 2 defensive players drafted into the NFL what makes you think the defense will be better without them.
