Tony Yelk News

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but it looks like Yelk signed with Edmonton in the CFL:

This is an urban legend. No healthy Tony Yelk has ever existed. On a side note, I see the CFL now has a contract with Schwinn Stationary Cycles.

Re: Tony Yelk News

I remember the season when Yelk was "day to day" or "week to week" the entire season.

Good times...

Re: Tony Yelk News

I was always wishing that we would've had a "healthy" Tony Yelk but that really never happened. We saw glimpses of what he could do, but then he would end up pulling something. On a side note, good luck to him in the CFL!

Re: Tony Yelk News

After reading that article, I thought Yelk was more of a kickoff/distance kicker. The joke was we that had two kickers, Tony Yanks (Yelk) and Mike McMiss (McKinght.) But I still believe that Independence Bowl kick against Alabama was good!

I wish him the best in Canada.

Maybe he can score some free donuts:

Re: Tony Yelk News

Tony was a disappointment in his final season, but I think it is wrong to question his determination or injuries. Sometimes things just don't work out the way all of us fans would like and the players take the blame. Wes Johnson, for example, was blasted by a lot of posters questioning how determined he was. Appearently he was very detemined and tough. I am happy he has gotten another chance to prove himself.
