Hope he was able to steal some towels or at least keep his jersey. Still, the vast majority of athletes never even get the opportunity to sniff a pro camp... I'm willing to bet he turns out as the biggest success of the class even if some others make a squad. He's a class individual and will do well at whatever he tackles.

I wonder what his major was. I think he would get decent job offers because of his proven attitude and ISU's credentials.

I wonder if he'll return to Iowa and try to get on the Barnstormers next season? Brannen's doing fine, but couldn't hurt to have a backup.

OK, I'm a little confused here. Why would he be cut already after being signed not that long ago. How could he have enough time to prove himself in that timeframe and/or why would the team sign him only to cut him not even 2 weeks later.
Or is it politicing,,,,if that is even a word??

They had rookie minicamps over the weekend. Lots of roster changes are made after those, especially with the undrafted free agents.

Did he make any money on this? I hope he gets a look somewhere else, but probably not.

I figured that he'd have a hard time sticking since they drafted Colt Brennan, but I thought that he would at least get into camp in July and maybe see some time in a preseason game. Oh well, maybe he can try the CFL or AFL.

As some may recall, Sage started out with the 'Skins, he looked to be the best guy in camp and preseason - then they shipped him off to Miami.

Bret was just a $1000/week FA signing.

if you honestly thought that bret would make it into a pre season game, then you honestly have not watched must cyclone football the last two years..
