Oh... people will come Mr. Pollard. People will most definitely come.
No, I don't live in Seattle anymore, I'm back in Des Moines but I don't feel like changing my username.

When we played football there in 1998, Oscar fought Tito Trinidad the same night.

I stayed there in February. Try to get a lower floor as the elevators require a fifteen minute wait sometimes and you will find yourself using the stairs. The pool area looked pretty old and nasty if that is your thing. 1 pool and 1 hot tub. The bathrooms were small and the carpet is filthy. If you have stayed at an older super eight, that is exactly what it reminded me of. It has that old hotel smell. It is a great location but even that is a little goofy as it is not right on the strip. You have to walk through an alley to get there. If you can get a room at Flamingo or Harrahs for a similar price I would do that. I believe we are going to stay at the Rio. The rooms are huge and clean, the seafood buffet is great and there is a free shuttle that drops you at Caesars or Harrahs.

Suggestions? We got three nights hotel and airfare for $475 each at Hooters. Right off the strip and not a bad hotel.

NY NY.
Just an overpass away from the MGM Sportsbook, which is a great place to watch some games during the day with our 6:00pm local start.
For those ready to pounce and say "screw that, we're tailgating all day", please note that the average high in Vegas is September is 98 (thus the 6:00pm start). LINK: Average Weather for Las Vegas, NV - Temperature and Precipitation
Not to say we won't be tailgaiting, however... the wife and I will be driving over from CA, so we will have a home base in the lot. We'll probably head over around 3.

Right now, we are booked at Bally's. I just got back from Vegas and stayed at the Imperial Palace. The location is great, but I won't stay there again. My room smelled like there was a dead mouse somewhere, and the wait for the elevators was ridiculous. My favorites are Paris and the Flamingo. Monte Carlo is nice, too.

No love for the Vegas Hilton (the house that Elvis built)? You can get your Barry Manilow fix and watch games at the biggest sportsbook in Las Vegas (notice I didn't say "best"). Also, they are one of the few books that create their own odds. Most buy them from the same consulting service.
On a different note, is the Trump Tower open? I'd heard it was a hotel only and doesn't have a casino.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

Planet Hollwood which is not on the list either: Welcome to Planet Hollywood It was fomerly Alladin and just talked to someone last week that recently stayed there and said it was a very nice place and in a great location. From the pictures on the website it looks pretty nice from what I can tell too. The MGM Grand was probably our next choice.

Monte Carlo, but unfortunately the flights we got go through Houston, not a straight shot.
