After doing some quick checking, 09 does allow for co-op for up to 4 players but it's offline. It's an improvement but not quite where it should be.

For sure doing "don't stop believing" before the 4th quarter! and some "for whom the bell tolls" on opponent 3rd down.

Actually, there will be a feature for the 360 and PS3 version where one can add their own custom music/stadium noise via MP3 files. Not sure if there's a "4th quarter break" control, but from what I saw on other forums, it looks like there are a LOT of options for customization.
