JTS Phase II
Hi all - i was reading a thread on CR about how the JTS Phase II may begin this coming fall. This is supposedly according to a internal spreadsheet detailing ISU's current projects, and expected timeline.
Does anyone have any information on a timeline update?
Also heard a rumor that JP is close to 'bagging a big fish' donor. Thoughts here?

Hey! That's private information that only people who pay deserve to see!
Also I think someone posted it a couple of days ago...

Re: JTS Phase II
Did anybody else notice the tarps hanging off the East side of the stadium(as of this weekend)...What's going on with that?

Didn't see them, seeing as how I'm like 1200 miles east but they are upgrading the club section that is on the East side as part of Phase I - nothing new about that.
If the tarps are new, I'm sure it's related to the club seating

Re: JTS Phase II
The tarps are there for some painting that is going on. As far as phase II being done next off season and a donor the best way to say it is there is a lot of smoke. Nobody knows anything final but its hard not to get the hopes up at this point.

Re: JTS Phase II
They are traps that usually are used to cover concrete while it drys. In this case it looks to be concealing something because the traps are on all sides and under the upper deck. Part of me wonders if they are adding more suites because the Phase 2 plans call for a suite in that section, but they are probably just doing some maintenance. -

The tarps are due to lead in the paint that needs to be captured correctly.

Re: JTS Phase II
That could be. I was with a friend who does concrete construction and he told me that is what they used. As I said, 'they are probably just doing some maintenance', but I can always keep my hopes up.
For TheHelgo.
I started that thread about JT phase II beginning this fall about a week ago here at CF. If you find it there is a link to the site- it's an ISU FP&M site.

I am telling you guys Jamie has been over in the Middle East smoothing things over and now has a big donor.
Everyone may I please direct your attention to the 50 yard line...please give a big hand for............
Sheikh Mohammed the crown prince of Dubai.
His generous $1.25 Billion contribution to ISU athletics has changed the way we compete.
We now have a state of the art Football stadium.
He put in the worlds biggest Screen which is 20 feet Wider than Texas's HD Video screen.
The olypmic sports now have their own indoor areana.
Facilities will now be called Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum at the Sheikh Mohammed Athletic Complex.
Sheikh Mohammed was quoted in the DM Register "I love the people of Ames. I am excited about Cyclone Athletics and direction they are moving."

Re: JTS Phase II
I hate to be a bubble burster but no one is listening so... Phase I work on the east side of the stadium will include the total renovation and overhaul of the club section You can even view photos if you click on Master Facility Plan/Photos of Phase I construction/Club seating (not those exact words but... I'm not going back to it just to get it exactly right. Figure it out it's not hard...)
Sorry but tarps on that side are nothing new, niether is what they're doing to that side.
Unless Jamie is being a super bad ***, but evidence points to this not being the case

Unless Jamie is being a super bad ***, but evidence points to this not being the case The tarps are not even close to the club section. The club section is in the middle on the east side, the tarps are only on the NE corner and they don't touch the club section.

Re: JTS Phase II
The tarps are due to the sandblasting and that's all. It was a late addition to the phase I project. They are sandblasting and re-painting all of the structural steel on both sides. Should look pretty good because right now...the steel looks pretty bad.
