I guess I'm not sure of the color difference, but weren't the old yellow pants pretty shiny too? These look to be more of a "flat" color, more dull in appearance.

As far as the gold vs yellow debate unless you switch to a metallic color (like ND or something weird) it's gonna look yellow. No way around it IMO.

I really like the away uniforms, but I feel that the home uniform needs something. I don't know if the letters need an outline, or if it's just the contrast of the red/yellow but they almost look really cheap. Kinda like stuff you do for rec sports where you only want to pay for them to print one color. Maybe it'll look better from farther away.

Oh i did like that gold.... man those were sweet uni's.

But I do like the everyday colors they are showing off.

Wow... first time i have seen that catch from that angle.... the outcome could have been VERY different.

edit: Oh and I was impressed with the open field tackle... otherwise it was a dancing TD.

They are great except for the stupid cardinal helmets....should have gone with the gold or white.

Love the new colors. No more bright red and the gold is a great complement. Things are lookin good!

I think they are much improved.

My issues would be the following:

1. The "Iowa State" on the front of the uni is too low. Because of the length of "Iowa State," I also think the size of the letters is too small.

2. I love the classic look of the uni's, however, I think a mistake was made with a more contemporary font on the letters and numbers.

JMO, I am sure I am wrong.

About as close to perfect as Iowa State has come uniform wise in 30 years. WELL DONE ISU! I wonder if fans will be able to purchase actual jerseys or just cheap replica ****.

Well, Nike had to make sure their swoosh was more prominently displayed. After all, it's much more important to know who made the uniform than what team is wearing it.
