Interesting and entertaining, if nothing else. Given ISU's schedule, young team, and still new staff - it's completely feasible we could go 3 - 9 or 9 - 3. My gut says five to seven wins and being in bowl consideration late in the season. My prediction is 7 - 5 with an appearance in a minor bowl. I'm often too optimistic, but have also been dead-on a number of times regarding ISU sports.

I know a lot of ISU fans feel we have a chance to get from 5-7 wins but I'm sure most others are doubting us, so say we end up getting 7 wins.... I wonder if Chizik would get Big 12 coach of the year?

This guy is pulling crap out of his butt, throwing it against the wall and hope that it sticks. For example, look at Colorado who returns 16 starters, he has CU going 6-6 (identical record from last year), but yet 3-5 in conference play. With the non-con schedule that CU has, if they go 3-1 out of the gate, they will contend for the Big 12 North.

Oh, CU's non-con schedule:

8/30 Colorado St. (Denver)
9/6 Eastern Washington
9/8 West Virginia
9/27 Florida St (at Jacksonville)

Why not? They both have new coaches and will have to be adjusting to different systems. Both come to our place. Plus, A&M replaces 4 starters on its O Line and we WILL pay them back for screwin' with Sedrick.

I agree, with that schedule, if CU goes 3 - 1, it will contend. But I will be very surprised if it happens. There is a lot of potential there for 1 -3.

He has us as a 6-6 team with no bowl game. I would have to think after the drought we have had, that if we got to 6-6, some lower bowl might take us knowing that people would come.

As long as it isn't Shreveport.
