What about this guy? 2 time Heisman finalist?!? I love Seneca, but troy has done something no other NCAA player ever has.
While I agree with you somewhat, we were really bad when he played. We got beat by about 30-50 points every game it seemed. At least with Seneca, we had national attention and a stud who is still in the NFL.
41-51 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Troy Davis played on a team whose main defense was to let the other team get tired by running around on them so much. If we'd have had a decent defense in those years, he would have won the Heisman.
I agree about #28. TD was as good a college football player I ever saw. He could run (remember the 3rd and 30 he converted?), block (standing up linebackers like it was open season on them), and even catch a pass or two. Not the greatest wheels, and truly deficient defenses kept him off the greatest-ever list. But he was as good as we ever had.
I would tend to agree with this one, actually. Either Pennington or Byron Leftwich--I don't think Randy Moss is even in the discussion.
I'd go with Leftwich for Marshall. I hardly remember anything about Moss or Pennington during their time at Marshall - I remember Leftwich being carried up the field by his linemen on a game-winning drive because his leg was broken and he was too tough to come out of the game.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
