Jon is stirring the pot. He frequents this board and knows others have been wondering the same.

Fact is that Jamie has something up his sleeve. I have a feeling we will all know MUCH more in the next 3-4 weeks.

So some of you really and truly believe that I lie awake at night wondering how to tweak the Clone fans, don't you?

My goodness, that has to be a less than enjoyable existence.

From superbowlshuffle on another board:

ISU to Iowa: $70 x 70,000 @ 20%= $980,000

Iowa to ISU: $90 x 50,000 @ 20%= $900,000

Who the game means more to and all of that stuff aside. Both Iowa and Iowa State benefit from a cheap travel day when they play on another. For an entire football roster that adds up too.

Why do you want to know?

And why should you have to ask a bunch of anonymous message board posters this question?

I mean, you spend a certain amount of time dissin' message board posters, and then you ask those same posters for information?

Just seems logically inconsistent and impolite to ask folks you publicly trash on your radio show, for information.

I'm not sure that's accurate, Bryce. I know the tix were $90 for the 4k allotment - but I'm not sure if that's what ISU fans were charged within their season tickets.

In addition, the math isn't that simple, as some had the cheaper balcony and endzone seats.

As well as student tickets are much cheaper. But wasn't the value on a regular season holder ticker $90? Either way Iowa got some extra return compared to a $60 ticket. Indirectly they were helping out their own school.

According to Jamie Pollard, the thermometer was posted 66 days ago. He hasn't responded to my requests for the thermometer since then, maybe you can ask him about it.

I appreciate your concern about ticket sales. No need to worry. Keep in mind because of the anticipated movement in seats due to the donation changes, we actually backed up the "deadline" date from last year by 7 weeks. We fully plan to start showing the ticket thermometer again once we get through renewals. Last year we started showing it in late February because the deadline was in February.

Has it even crossed your mind that they aren't through the renewals yet? There are captain's level donors here that don't know where they are sitting yet. My guess is they have more important work to do.

Last year the thermometer went up within 24 hours of the renewal deadline.

Counting renewals is different from assigning seats. As you'll see from previous posts, Pollard had a running count back in March even before the deadline. There is no doubt that Pollard knows the exact count of how many season tickets have been sold. But unlike last year, he is not anxious to make the number known. I don't think we'll hear anything until August.

Fair enough. But why does not hearing anything until August matter?
