Fact is that Jamie has something up his sleeve. I have a feeling we will all know MUCH more in the next 3-4 weeks. First thing I thought as well, that and he wants to get a reaction out of his avatar. Pretty sad really.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. -

Re: ISU FB season tix sales
and as far as JP holding back some info...no doubt. Big things to come. Just when two a days start to appear on the horizon and the sex scandal at UofI is creating buzz all over the media for the hawkeyes, Pollard drops a bomb and ISU is not only the talk of the state but the talk of the nation, and that is before final ticket sales are released, can you say media frenzy heading into fall? Well, at least we will have that in common with iowa, we just won't be embarrassed about what is being talked about.

Re: ISU FB season tix sales
Season ticket sales are probably behind last year, but would that really be surprising? Last year sales took a big jump, you had the Iowa game/season ticket thing, and you had a new coach that created a great deal of excitement. Typically ticket sales in the first year of a new coach at any university in most any sport will increase ticket sales.
Now this year, you don't have quite the same Iowa/season ticket thing for the Nebraska game, last year's record was only 3 and 9 although the team was playing better at the end of the year, and basically, the economy sucks right now. People are having to pay more for gas, groceries, and whatever, and there probably is not as much disposable income.
So, ticket sales for this year are probably a little behind. If there is any increase, then that will be terrific. Let's just hope there is not too big a decline.
What I don't understand about Jon's question- He is in the media. Why would you be asking this question on a fan message board. Are your contacts within the Athletic Department that bad? Why not call the Ticket Manager or the Sports Information office, or even JP?
Of course it has always seemed odd to me that a member of the media would spend much time on any message board, but maybe that is just me.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good. Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better. Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step. Re: ISU FB season tix sales
The renewal process was done manually this year. Re-seating isn't even done yet. Once it is, JP will have an announcement.
