ISU Sells Out Endzone Seats

AMES, Iowa – For the third time in as many seasons, Iowa State football fans have essentially sold out the south end zone seating at Jack Trice Stadium.

Ticket orders for just under 3,000 seats have been received and a few scattered singles are all that remain of the highly popular $125 end zone ticket.

Beyond the regular-priced season ticket ($350 each plus a Cyclone Club donation), the athletics department continues to offer both Cy’s Pack (195 each) and Hillside ($99 each) season ticket packages.

Iowa State’s six-game home schedule features match-ups with Orange Bowl champion Kansas (Oct. 4), Alamo Bowl participant Texas A&M (Oct. 25) and Cotton Bowl champion Missouri (Nov. 15). The border rivalry game with Nebraska and first-year coach Bo Pelini is set for Oct. 18. The non-conference slate includes contests with South Dakota State (Aug. 28) and Kent State (Sept. 6).

Fans, who haven’t secured their seating for the 2008 season, can still do so by purchasing tickets online (cyclones.com) by phone (1-888-478-2925) or in person (athletics ticket office at the Jacobson Athletic Building).

I'm guessing the Nebraska fans had a lot to do with those sales.

I can't stand the Cardinals, and am an on again off again Cub fan. Mostly on, these days.

IMO they are not charging enough for those seats. They need to ramp the prices up so that when the renovations are complete, they don't put everyone in shock by doubling their ticket prices.

I do wonder how many husker fans have tickets there that bought in 2006, sold their tickets on ebay last year and are coming back this fall.

The renewal rate for those seats are very, very high so I'm guessing not many were available to the public.

Good thing Iowa State University doesn't use a cardinal for it's mascot, or things could get really ugly here...

While we're getting upset about the avatar...anyone recall seeing the image below on of our rival team's site? It was posted in a look-a-like thread by Texas Tech, I think. We all thought that one was rather hilarious. I still do.
