I am extremely disappointed in all the people on this board who call themselves Cyclone fans and still feel the need to rant and rave over a Hawk Homer radio guy.
Give me a break, give it a rest. AMEN. -

So this makes me less of a Cyclone fan for starting this thread on a message board? I guarantee you that people will probably still be complaining/talking about Jon Miller and other hawk fans that annoy us in the future, either in person or on this board. You didn't have to read this thread if it bothers you that much.

Re: Does Jon Miller hate/fear the Cyclones?
I'll give Jon credit that he's been fairly critical of the parrotts, er i mean Hawkeyes when neccesary. Also wasnt afraid to show up in these parts when the Clones would topple the Hawks on the field or court. I don't think hes the donkey butt most try to make him out to be. Besides i'll take him over Steve-you know who-anyday. Better to be hated for who you are than loved for what your not.
Can't say I realy get a strong signal if at all most days for KNXO(whatever the call letters are), so i really cant comment much on his radio show. The 2 minutes here and there i got seemed a little bland as it was just Jon by himself, which im sure can be a tough job working solo.

No one can match our dedication and passion for Nintendo's classic sports titles...Tecmo Bowl & R.B.I. Baseball. In-depth strategy guides, player attributes, team rankings, along with incredibly detailed recaps of our season play. We don't reminisce, we just keep playing! -
Re: Does Jon Miller hate/fear the Cyclones?
I find it kind of funny that Jon Miller posts more on CycloneFanatic than his own web site, which seem sort of dead. If someone was smart they would start a Hawkeyefanatic web site.

Re: Does Jon Miller hate/fear the Cyclones?
Jon is a closet ISU fan. He won't admit it fully, but it is true. His actions and comments make that clear.
He is a Hawk first, but he holds no ill will against ISU and anything he says to the contrary is just to get a rise out of our fan base so he has some discussions points on his show.
It's not chinese math.

It's not chinese math. I would say your correct when Iowa has a better team. When ISU is better you can tell he starts getting very defensive and takes a lot of jabs at the Cyclones. It's easy to be nice to "little brother". it's kind of like UNI. I don't think very many ISU fans dislike UNI but if they beat us 5 years in a row I bet things would change.

Maybe Hawk fans wouldnt accept a website that was originally founded by a Clone fan.

If you want to gauge his knowledge of football, just consider that he seriously predicted that Iowa would win the Big Ten both of the past two seasons (6-10 actual record) and last year he predicted a 10 win season for Iowa.
Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good. Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better. Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step. My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all. -

FWIW, no he didn't.

Deace is our guy! Come on, he destroyed CN and then bailed. If he is "our guy", we are in deep need of a media representative.
