he's a 3 star on cyclonereport. I wasn't expecting that. But sweet. Now chizik needs to start getting more recruits to commit

Yeah, kind of wasn't expecting that either. I think the kid has potential to be very good when he fills out, but I'm surprised with 3 stars.

ESPN (Scouts, Inc.) has him rated at 77. ESPN - Iowa State Cyclones Football Recruiting 2009
Our only 2008 recruit they had listed higher than 77 was SJ at 79. Schwartz, Range and McDonough were all 77's.

I guess I'm surprised because he was really under the radar and didn't have any other offers. Thought they might just label him a typical 2 star.

He was upgraded to a 3 star because he committed to the CYCLONES!!!
(I really wish that sarcasm was easier to express on the internet... I know we all believe the recruiting services downgrade any/all ISU commits.)

Hopefully he'll fill up that 6'6" frame and become a monster on the OL.
Also, for reference purposes, the two OLs who decommitted from us last year that I and many others were upset about losing - Joe King and David Grant - were rated basically the same as Lichtenburg.

kyle will be super when he gets some strong weight training and adds some more lbs.he is an excellent kid.
