JT update 06/17

As many of you can see by the web cam, the renovations at JT are moving quickly. I was able to tour the construction this past week but my batteries died in the camera so I didn't get very good photos, or very many.

Club section is nearly done. Basically, all that is left in the club section is finish work (installing flooring, fixtures, tables, etc.). The east concourse still needs to be repaved.

The field looks really good. The sod seems to be taking hold and it is hard to see any lines. They have removed all the old Iowa State markers from the sideline walls.

The suites still need some work. They are still working on installing movable glass windows in some of the suites, including in the press box. Some electrical panels are still being installed and after that it is mostly finishing work.

The concession stands are nearly completed. Some of the bathrooms already have the fixtures and stalls up and the others are almost there. The concessions appear to also be almost done.

They have also began paving the west concourse and are preparing to pour the steps. Something I didn't know, they are replacing some of the rails on the second deck.

Thanks for the update and photos. What are they going to use to pave the concourse? Asphault or cement? Or are they going to use brick? What about the ramp going up from the gate to the concourse?
