Can't blame them, because I didn't see last year's line as anything more than competent. It just seemed so much better in comparison to the lines of the last several years previously.

I agree, but the thing of it is, it was done essentially with 'spare parts' thrown together at the last minute.

when I see USC's recruiting class, it makes me want to cry, lol, not really but it's so unfair

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.

"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

Do you think they even consider letting a 3 star step onto campus?

They better be, there will be 60 other teams with very big and pretty athletic lines as well. Hopefully they will also have all the others tools needed to be good.

they have all 5 and 4 star guys and one guy who hasnt been evaluated yet, which means he's a 1 or 2 star, cause i thought they already handed out all of the 3 stars, but since he's going to USC, he will probably end up at least a 4 star

Yes if they like him, then once they offer he will become a 4/5 star player and it is back to normal.

Football athletes can't make official visits until the season starts. Not sure about MBB. One great thing that Chizik has done is really focus on bringing in players for official visits during the season. He sees the atmosphere and tailgating at JT as a major selling point. And I think that unlike Mac, he has the staff to handle recruits on a gameday weekend. It's a great philosophy IMO. Not only do you get a recruit to Ames on a decent weekend (as opposed to Dec/Jan weather), you also find their open dates and schedule so that the kid can't make any other visits until his season is over.

Do or do not, there is no try .....Yoda

They had some pretty decent lines, but Troy Davis especially got so many yards after contact it was ridiculous. He was a special talent who ran for way, way more yards than his line blocked for.
