Re: SDSU Prediction

I have to say that I am less worried about that game than any game in recent memory that ISU has played. ISU 38 SDSU 7

We are talking about a solid, not great, 1-AA team here (or playoff subdivision or whatever its called now) replacing a lot of players and playing in our house. No disrespect to SDSU, but if this game is close at all then we do not have the team that most of us think we will have this year.

If there is any doubt about this one in the 4th quarter, we are looking at another 2 or 3 win season at best. I think we are much better than that, and I think the Kent and UNI games last year were more the result of a team still learning a new system and those games were not indicitive of ISU's talent being at the level of the other school.

Clones big, for the first time in a while:
31-7

Re: SDSU Prediction

ISU 38
SDSU 13

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

I-S-U!

Re: SDSU Prediction

First off, I think making predictions at his point and time is absolutely ludicrous. Secondly, I think making predictions puts unfair pressure on the guys on the football team and coaching staff that read this message board. All that being said, I'm predicting a 35-14 win. If we don't win, I will FREAK out.

Re: SDSU Prediction

We need to dominate this game, IMO. It's Chizik and Company's chance to show some muscle. I doubt we'll ask whoever our new QB is to do much, instead relying on our running game to control the clock and pound the ball - defense being very physical.

I think we won't see much in the way of neat plays - not to hold it in for future opponents - but there's no need to get cute against a team like SDSU. Unless we're just not good enough.

I think we will be.

Here's to about 300 yards of offense on the ground and a 40 to 20 minute time of possession ratio.
