Iowa State Offer Letter

This is the offer letter to Tate Forcier, the California QB who was posting all of his offer letters online. Ours is on there now. The only reason I looked is that we were cut from his list according to ESPN.

Interesting that Florida coaches asked him to not post their letter but no other coaches did. Of course all of them except for maybe the Stanford one and the ones with handwritten notes like Art Briles and Dick Rod put into theirs are pretty cookie cutter so there wouldn't be any reason to hide them except for keeping personal call back numbers a secret.

Definitely check out the Stanford one if you didn't read this the last time it made the rounds on this board; makes some bold claims.

Interesting to note ISU, and not Iowa, made his top 20.

Two things seem odd. First Iowa uses the nastiest, ugliest Times font and every letter I looked at seems to read the same. Does the NCAA give coaches a form letter?

This guy already took us off his list as he narrowed it down to 10

WOW. A Six foot, 183 lb QB, where will we ever be able to find another one of those! Not quite the measurements every coach looks for.

That's actually Courier, a monospace type writer-style font. I guess Ferentz's staff is going for that authentic 1950's ethos that only Big Ten football fans could love.

Fortunately Tate doesn't have a problem with ego......nor humility.

No kidding. That letter looks like EIU uses some grandma in the FB admin office to crank out offer letters on an IBM Selectric.

If you checked out his whole website you would have seen his "disclaimer" basically saying he's not being cocky, just posting his resume. And every resume tries to make the creator sound like a good catch.

Something close to that, 3rd paragraph I think?

I found it strange that the Iowa letter didn't mention free access to top-notch legal defense resources.

Also, that Nebraska letter does look sharp, and it got me motivated about the offer, even though there's no way they're offering a 35-year old dude a scholarship
