The NW thread got me thinking of some BCS teams that would be fun to have a 1 & 1 or 2 & 2 with. I picked the top 2 from each conf. that I would like to see us play and think there is actually a chance of it happening within 10 years. Who would you want one with the most?

I like all of those team on your list, but outside of Cincinnati and maybe Northwestern, I doubt that any of the others would consider home-and-home with us. What would be in it for them?

I think Minnesota would be good, it's pretty close, a different conference and there are a ton of ISU students from Minnesooooooooooooooooooota..

Louisville, Va Tech, Minnesota, Arizona State, West Virginia, Oregon State, and similar teams. Not the traditional football powerhouses like Michigan, USC, etc., but respectable programs that could probably give us a challenge on a regular basis and I wouldn't feel embarrassed to lose to.

Like most, I'd like us to do a home/home with the Gophers.
However, it wouldn't suck to schedule a team of their caliber but outside the Midwest. Rutgers intrigues me.

I picked Rutgers because I could talk myself into that away game.

The Golden Gophers are an overwhelming favorite currently.

just think, we were ranked #9 at one point in that year. if we had won the FSU game we may have been in the Top 5!

I've said it before, and now I'll say it again: having Iowa on the schedule every year kills any chance of us playing another team from a major conference. Iowa is average to above average almost every year, so it's highly unlikely you'll see us schedule another BCS school very often. And those of you who are voting for Minnesota can forget about that, 2 Big Ten teams on the schedule in the same year (outside of a bowl) will never happen.
I'm sure some Hawk fan will blast me for saying this (like I care), but I would much rather see us play someone like Miss St., Ole Miss, Vandy, Wazzu, Wake Forest, Virginia, etc. than Iowa every dang year. We play them every year in b-ball, that's enough for me.

Iowa State vs. Indiana State, Idaho State, Illinois State.
We are playing Noth Dakota State and South Dakota State so why not play our ISU brethern in logos.

I would like to play the Badgers before any of these teams, but Minnesota is a close second

"I just back into town and I hear all this stuff, and Buster Olney is making my team up now and [Genske] wants to tell me who is going to pitch here. No one is going to tell us who to put on our team and no one on ESPN is going to tell us who should pitch for my team. " -Gardy

I'd like the football team to prove that they can consistently beat MAC teams before stepping it up and adding another BCS conference team to their schedule.
