A Bowl Game would cinch it, but 4-5 wins and some obvious improvement and show of future potential out of the younger guys would probably make it a success in my book as well.

I would say 5 wins and not getting blown out in any games would be a huge success IMO.

I would agree, 5 is the magic number this year with positive momentum heading towards the 09 season.

Agreed, no repeats of the Texas slaughter last year would be a huge step in the right direction.
I'd love the clones to get to a bowl game this year so I could go to one before I graduate (I didn't go to the EV1 and am still kicking myself), but if they don't make it I'd still consider this season a success if they don't drop the Kent State and SDSU games and progress as the season goes on much like they did last season

7 wins seems a little steep to me. I agree with Cysball. Be competitive and win the games you're supposed to win would be a nice step forward.

I'd be happy with 5 wins and continued improvement during the season.

A bowl game. Success is different than improvement to me. If we improve, fine, but not having a winning record is not "successful" to me.

I agree with what you guys have been saying here. The main thing I want to see is improvement from last season and improvement during the season. I'd also like to see us be competitive in all their games. If I had to talk about wins and losses, I would really just like to see us beat a ranked team.

I'd say at least 5 wins. 2 non conference and 3 conference, with at least one conference road win (good chance for 2 with KSU and Baylor both on the road). Or if no road win, at least an upset, like against TAM or Kansas.
