I was at the goal line stand game at Missouri too. That and the bowl game in Phoenix have to be my top two.

    Re: Best road game

I've only seen one away game (I know, I know) at UI 2006.

I would love to have seen ISU beat OU in 1990
Or to see ISU beat NU in memorial stadium
Or I would have love to have been there when ISU beat A&M recently.
"I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

    Re: Best road game

Good thing tailgaiting is fun because I can remember some really bad road losses Ive sat through.

at Minnesota 97, at Northern Illinois (Hiawatha broke his leg), at KU 05, at Mizzou 05, at KSU 56-3, at Iowa 93 and 2006, Nebraska 07.

Bowl game losses are easier to swallow.

Road wins at Baylor, Iowa (several times), and Mizzou make up for it. Added to our only bowl wins in school history.... It keeps you going back for more.

Road games are an awesome time. I only wish ISU fans realized how easy a trip to Mizzou, KU, KSU, Nebby really are. The more clones on the road the more fun it is.

Best two I was at: Insight bowl in PHX and the FSU arrowhead game.

Best away game to go to: Texas at Austin. Great fans, really laid back and fun to be around. Not really arrogant at all. The town is a blast to go out in. If it is still there, Ray's steakhouse is amazing. On the menu, it said "We proudly only serve Iowa cornfed beef." Needless to say, we felt very welcom there

I can't believe no one has mentioned this, but Iowa in 2002. Nothing like chanting "let's go State!" as Hawks flooded the exits in the 4th!
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.
