A thread regarding the KC Chiefs got me thinking about how this would be received by the fans.

It would be incredibly annoying, but I'm tall and I always have a decent sightline. One thing I would like to see is no standing on the benches because my wife always gets screwed by that.

I'm 5' 1 1/2", so this would actually benefit me. I don't think we probably need to make a totalitarian state out of football games, however.  The standing gives the place atmosphere.

As a student, there's no way they'd keep us all sat down. Granted it isn't an issue since we're just students and have no one important behind us.

Part of the game experience for me is being able to jump around and cheer on the team; no standing would greatly reduce the experience.

I wouldn't say I would be upset, and it wouldn't prevent me from buying tickets, but it would be unsettling to know that I can't stand when the game gets on the line and the adrenalin is flowing.

How are they going to keep you down - seat belts? Extremely poor performance?? I don't get it. Seems like the effort placed in the last couple of years in getting people to cheer (The cheer practice before each game) was to get people out of their seats, not keep them in them

Where is the "Buy tickets and stand up anyways" option?
I have a picture I need to scan in... from a BBall game a few years ago some guys held up some signs that said "Old people stand up"

Imagine if everyone would have been forced to sit during BC's last field goal against the Hawks. Makes no sense whatsoever. I understand not standing the whole game, but there are times when the overall excitement level leads to standing. Take that away and I might as well go to the ballet.

Try as I might, there's no way I could stay seated. Jumping up is an involuntary reaction. I have no choice, although I do my best to be considerate of those behind me.
What would happen when the band plays the fight song? We all sit and clap?

I would be fine with no standing on the benches. But standing is needed.

It's college football. It's all about the excitement and passion from the coaches, players, and the fans. The fans create the atmosphere and can affect the game to a certain extent. I know I get jacked up watching ISU play as everyone else probably does. Chizik wants JTS to be one of the loudest stadiums in the BIG XII and I just don't see that happening if everyone is sitting on their hands. Stand up yell and scream and make some freaking noise people.
