I'm actually surprised Iowa is there because they scheduled 2 other BCS schools, which is more than many.

They have a point... we have a bad non conf schedule. The scariest thing is we will probably be 2-2 after it.

Who is the second? Kent st is mid american, and UNLV is mountain west right?

The other angle is that they probably think both Iowa and ISU suck, so our game against each other counts as easy.

Road games haven't been kind to us lately, even against weak competition. There was a glimmer of hope to end the season last year, but their is a mountain of tradition that says 2-2 could be the result.

I know we were bad last year, but we best not look even remotely as bad to start '08 as we did to start '07.

We better be 3-1 after our first four games or else 4-8 or 5-7 is pretty much assured for our final record. We need to be 6-6 this year.

I know it doesn't mean anything, but I still think it's interesting that of those 10 schools, only two aren't in the Big XII or Big 10 (who each have four teams on the list).

I agree with the list.
However, eight of the ten schools are from the middle of the country, some have tradition, others do not. Could it be location is partially the reason for the weak schedules? No west or east coast teams. Maybe a few 2 and 1's with out of the area teams wouldn't be a bad idea just to get some competition.
As much as I like to see winnable games on the schedule (South Dakota State), I'd much rather play Florida International, Tulane, Central Washington State or some team similar to these.
