Don't forget these early lines are created to help you along in placing a bet. The fact that the line is 8 just says they hope Iowa State fans think that is crazy and bet and the same amount of SDSU fans think they have a change to get within a touchdown and bet.

It would be nice if they did have a line for the game, but I dont think most oddmakers will have a bet on it at all. If they do, they might be a little shady.

The last two seasons openers have been stressful to say the least...I going for a cakewake this year. I'll put a hundred down right now with that spread.

I placed two ISU bets pre-season last year. Dropped mucho on ISU v KSU in the opener.
Fortunately, I had placed more on ISU v Iowa +14 pre-season and came out OK.
Learned my lesson though to stay off ISU.

SDSU is replaing a 2 yr starter at QB, soild at RB, inexperienced at WR, returns 4 of 5 OL starters from LY. On Defense they return 4 starters on the line which was responsible for 15 sacks (we had 20 on our whole team), LB is a concern where they are replacing a 4 yr letterwinner, 2 new safties will join the defensive backfield.
We havent covered our home opening line since before 2003. Questions at QB, OL, and we lost our 2 best Defensive players from LY.
I would be interesed to see a O/U for this game. As far as the side goes I wouldn't lay 8 with this team against a team with solid O and D lines like SDSU.
Of course I probably will just touch it a little on the Clones!!
