Now I'm heading to 3 for sure. You can buy hillsides for $99 a piece for the season. I could only afford that and I get to go to 6 games. Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:

Just bought two.. great idea JP!

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
I think I'm going to do this as well. With a 2 yr. old, it didnt' seem like a good idea to get season tix. But making 3 games seems doable.

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
$99 is definately a good price for two Big 12 games (probably two of the best on the schedule), plus a 3rd game, plus $20 at Applebees.
With the news above that the seats being sold are in the Century Level normally priced at $350 + $100 donation, it's pretty obvious there is a season ticket sale problem. The question is:
How bad is it? And Why?

How bad is it? And Why? I too am surprised at how good the seats are for this. Who knows though, maybe the Cy's Pack is mostly full and the only places in the stadium left are in C, G, and M. One could hope at least. -

I am very surprised to see Nebraska in this offering.

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
Just got 2 packages in Section G...not bad. Living 2 hrs away and with the price of gas this made it a sweet deal. There's really no way to make every game with two toddlers and a four hour drive all together but this is doable...thanks JP!!

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
I can't afford season tix at 350 and I've been thinking of either getting student tix again with a friend or now this idea is out there. I like this deal.
By the way, hasn't Iowa been doing 3game packs for a few years now?

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
I wish I would have know this sooner, having already bought Cy's Pack tickets and not being sure if I can make all the games. I am now paying more to sit in worse seats. I think offers like this should be presented at the beginning of ticket buying.

These packages are obviously because they're not selling as many tickets to something as they'd hoped. When presented with the choice between buying season tickets or not buying any tickets, we earn lots more profit if they buy season tickets. Maybe some of those people would rather buy these 3-packs instead, but we lose profit there. By waiting until now, he's hoping to snag some of those people who decided to not buy any tickets instead of season tickets. If they won't/can't pay for a full season, then at least they can maybe afford 3, especially in the worse seats. It's the game you play with sports tickets, especially in a college program that badly needs to make a big profit.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
So much for the theory that Nebraska is just as much a rival (and drawing card) as Iowa...

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
I have a feeling if ISU starts solidly, those Nebraska tickets will become a hot commodity.

Re: Applebee's Minipack Promotion
I'm not so sure this is an indication that ticket sales are off by that much. I think it's more of a plan to ensure the highest possible occupancy rate we can this year as we move forward with the south endzone plans. Maybe expansion is already a done deal, but if it is not, then the more guaranteed seats we have the better it looks for future plans.
