I think it's just a bunch of media hype. Nothing mystical about it. This is basically NU's Return of the King, where Pelini returns to take up the mantle of Osborne the Omnipotent. I suspect the Huskers will be in for a rude awakening around the middle of the season when they realize that their pants are not plated with gold, after all.

NU has 3 pretty tough home games in Va Tech, Mizzou and Kansas. They also have road games at Texas Tech (77-10 comes to mind) and OU. I think they'll be lucky to win 1 of those games, and they haven't played well against CU lately. Their offense won't be quite as good as last year, but luckily for them it's probably the same scheme. I think they're looking at a 7 or 8 win season maybe, probably good enough for 3rd or 4th.
