I was planning a weekend to get away and noticed the summer is about over. It seems like yesterday basketball was over and I was thinking its a long time until FB starts. Heck practices starts in just over 2 weeks. When the FB countdown clock started it seems so far off but now it seems right around the corner.
I guess that is what you get when you move and have another child. It sure makes the summers go fast. Guess we will have to slow down and enjoy what we have left of it before my Sats are to be spent in Ames.

I hate this feeling. Its like summer is gone. The only thing that makes me feel better is football season

Tell me about it. I've been at football camp since Sunday. Another one next week from Wed-Fri. Then the next weekend it starts for good.

Weather wise at least in the way of my venue it is still with out a doubt summer.

Obviously, the pleasantness of a particular season depends on your geographic location. It's not hot, sticky, and miserable throughout the world during summer. In fact where I'm located I've experienced nearly uninterupted sunshine and my biggest complaint if anything is that it is too dry.

For those of us that don't like baseball, August can't come soon enough. I agree with the long winter and wet spring, we didn't really get much of a summer, but the faster June and July go by, the better for me.
