Tim Griffin, in his fantastic new Big XII blog on ESPN.com, has predicted this order of finish for the North:

1. Mizzou
2. Nebraska
3. Kansas
4. Colorado
5. ISU
6. K-State

I just really don't see Nebraska as second. I think this season is gonna be pretty rough for them.

You don't think they're going to automatically turn it around after giving up just 38 pts per game last year?

I highly doubt that NU will finish that high.

46 points allowed per game in their last 7. 57 pts in their last 3 games.

They'll turn it around.

Wow, I totally glossed over that placement of Nebraska. I still think you have to defer to KU at second, but I think Colorado could be there, or God even Iowa State. Nebraska wouldn't be my first choice.

This may seem wrong to many, but I think any of thse teams for one game could beat the others on the right day. That said, Nebraska is very dependent on marlon Lucky to take a lot of carries and to remain fresh. We will have to watch if he can take the pounding.

Why is everyone so high on Nebraska and Colorado? We did beat Colorado at the end of the season last year, yet they are suppose to be worlds better than us. We had our chances against Neb but blew it and somehow the earth is right and a magic wand was waved and they are going to be good again. I dont get it all.

Your right, we did beat CU at the end of last year but they have a nationally ranked recruiting class coming in plus they have an experienced QB that could have a breakout year. Their incoming running back is supposed to be the #2 ranked rb in his class..It wouldn't shock me for them to be this years cinderella team. NU is over-rated imo. I just don't see them being #2 in our league
