Leaving at Halftime
I just spoke to the ticket off because I had to order additional tickets for SDSU and Kent St. I asked about leaving at halftime, and I was told that right now, the policy is the same as last year. You just need to be back in before the start of the 4th quarter. That part is a Big 12 rule.
Just an FYI on what I was told minutes ago.

Re: Leaving at Halftime
I though this ended when the entire bathroom concession area remodel was complete, so this would be the last year we can leave.
Honestly, I don't care much anymore, I am too fat and old to walk all that way to the car just for a beer. This year I am just bringing in my own :)

I'm wondering if they are waiting until the East Side is done too.

Woo-Hoo!!! Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:

Re: Leaving at Halftime
To be honest it's not a big 12 rule. You can't leave an OU game at halftime due to a bomb going off a few years ago down there. So I think it's up to the individual team. I personally like that fact that you can go knock one down at halftime.

Or, stay at halftime and support the marching band. They work hard, too, and are a big part of the atmosphere at Jack Trice.

I think they were talking about having to be back in before start of the 4th qrtr as being the Big 12 rule.

The fact that this is a topic of discussion means that our football program (and fans) arent where they should be...just my opinion.

Come on now, I don't miss a minute of the action in the stands, but still manage to get out for a cold one and discuss the game with friends. Enjoying the sweet nectar that is beer doesn't make one less of a fan.

Re: Leaving at Halftime
Who needs to knock one down at halftime when you didn't stop once you got into the stadium?
Think we have had this discussion before, its not as hard as you think to bring it in with you. Just have to be good at hiding it and not looking awkward when you walk through the gates.
