Chizik on Cotlar
Would anybody care to summarize what Chizik had to say on Cotlar this morning, for those of us that can't listen to the radio at work? Was it pretty much the same old stuff, or did he say anything new/interesting?

Re: Chizik on Cotlar
It was almost word for word stuff he had previously said at media day. They covered the position battles, mainly the Arnaud/Bates thing, but I didn't hear the end of the interview. Nothing you can't read on the internet.

There's a lot worse out there than Cotlar.

Well, there is at least one... -

I think Rome used to be good. He just become big and then got so full of himself.

Re: Chizik on Cotlar
Rome is my favorite by far. If you actually listened day in and day out, you'd realize anything ego about himself is completely sarcastic. He gets amazing interviews. Dan Patrick probably has the biggest ego of any radio person I've heard.

Re: Chizik on Cotlar
As much as people like to rip on Rome, I'd much rather listen to Chizik on Rome than on Cotlar - that would be national media coverage as opposed to local...

Blues on Grand's a great place, nothing wrong with a little Blues in the morning.
I have to go with SVP on this one. I think he's my favorite.

Re: Chizik on Cotlar
My problem with Cotlar is his delivery is so broken and choppy that its nearly impossible to follow at times. He seems both unprepared and so scripted. When a guest gives an answer that leads to a perfectly natural follow up, there will be like 2 seconds of silence and then he'll move on to a totally different line of questions. Then sometimes, it's so scripted like he'll have a prepared follow up question, that doesn't need to be asked because maybe the guest expounded a little more off the first question and really answered both, but he asks it anyway. Don't get me wrong it's not a job that I'd want or be good at, but I'd just as soon listen to the silky smooth sounds of JDM than the herky jerky flow of a cotlar interview.
Hope is not a method. Soon is not a time. -
Re: Chizik on Cotlar
Romes a good time for a while, but I prefer DP or Colin. Of course I listen to AM about 90/10 to the amount I listen to FM, so I have to like a lot of people. Rush, Rome, Dan Patrick, Hannidy, the Car Guys, Kim Kumando,Money Talk, Ramsey, Mike & Mike, and Cowherd ... and more I'm probably not listing. The only one that really makes me change the channel is Dr Laura ... I mostly agree with her too - but she's such a witch.
