    Directv and FSN

    I live in central Iowa and have Directv but I get Comcast sports instead of FSN. Is FSN on Direct in Cental Iowa without getting the sports package? I know we get Comcast due to Cubs games but it looks like FSN is going to have a lot of Big 12 stuff on it this year besides just games. I would rather have FSN so I guess I am going to have to pay the $10 to get it so I can watch local sports.

    Methinks you're gonna have to spend the $7.99/month to get FSN...

    Re: Directv and FSN

    I suggest you do like I do...add the DirecTV Sports Package for ~$10 per month from Sept - Dec then cancel it. There is no fee for canceling or adding and the content (if you're a college FB junkie) is WELL worth it.

    Re: Directv and FSN

    Being able to watch the Twins on FSN during the summer is well worth the money. I think last year there were some Cyclone football games on other Fox Sports midwest channels that were not on FSN. I may be wrong but I think that was the case.

    I have dishnetwork and don't get fcs. I get all the FSN channels but not fcs. I do live in NE though.

    Edit:
    FCS = SDSU Game right?

    FSN = no sdsu game?

    Re: Directv and FSN

    I have sometimes got Cyclone games on Comcast Sports that were being shown on FSN. I don't know what the deal is, but Comcast might own part of Fox which is why you they sometimes show Fox Sports programs on Comcast Sports. I can't guarantee which ones are shown on Comcast Sports, just that sometimes they are.

    Same thing I do...totally worth it.
    Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
